Our History

Founded in 1979

As Nevada’s first Moroccan restaurant, founded in 1979 by Master Moroccan Chef Mustafa Alioua, Marrakech has become a true Las Vegas landmark.

Chef Alioua’s vision was to create a unique setting in which guests could enjoy a one-of-a-kind Moroccan experience complete with an authentic six course meal and beautiful belly dancers.

That vision is still present today as we mesmerize guests with an array of flavors, sights, and sounds authentic to Marrakech.

Tariq-Ali-the-Sultan-of MarrakechCurrent owner Tariq Ali (‘The Sultan’ of Marrakech) has not lost sight of Mustafa’s vision, which is predicated on personalized customer service and creating the most authentic, tourist-friendly Moroccan/ Mediterranean experience possible. Tariq can often be found working the dining room himself, overseeing all aspects of our nightly service.

Marrakech has created the perfect fusion of Moroccan, Mediterranean, and Middle Eastern cuisines. From our amazing shrimp scampi to our delicious hummus, to the most traditional Moroccan main course, couscous with chicken and vegetables.

The experience is brought together by our Moroccan tent ambiance and our sensational belly dancers. You will be mesmerized by the array of flavors, sights, and sounds of Marrakech. It is truly a feast for the senses!
